It is now official that Rave Master will make its broadcast TV debut on May 1, 2004 on Cartoon Network’s newly slotted Toonami block Saturday evenings. As the North American audience becomes familiar with this exciting anime property, published as manga by our friends at TOKYOPOP, we predict that a character named Griffon Kato, better known as “Griff”, will emerge as a fan favorite.

If there was ever a character destined to be a “squishy toy”, Griff is the one. In the cartoons he is continually changing shape, often with hilarious results. His charm is exceeded only by his love of mayonnaise, and as he bulges and blobulates across the screen, his off-the-wall comments set a comic tone for the series.
