One of the most intriguing characters from a new film Mirror Mask is the "Sphinx Cat."Here we have a surreal critter spawned by the imaginations of Dave McKean and Neil Gaiman who juxtaposes a photo/video facial aspect with a vibrantly winged feline body. The effect is unsettling and made more so when the cats stalk protagonists Helena and Valentine with mayhem on their mind.

Gentle Giant Studios has interfaced with CGI data provided by Mr. McKean and The Jim Henson Company to bring this fascinating creature to full 3-D realization. It is stunning. The statue comes with two interchangeable face plates, allowing the owner to interchange them and display different facial expressions.
