One of the world’s foremost fantasy artists is Spanish grand master Luis Royo. His many books, magazine covers, and portfolios have won him acclaim everywhere.

Dark Horse is pleased to collaborate with Mr. Royo and his Spanish publisher to create the first statue based on his work. We have engaged sculptor Steve Kiwus to interpret one of Royo’s famous covers for Heavy Metal magazine.

Featuring a cloaked, sword-wielding female warrior and a savage robot creature in a stark post-apocalyptic landscape, this monumental work conveys the detail, sensuousness, and imagination that are Royo’s calling card.
