Writer/artist Tim Truman is once again gracing the Star Wars universe with his charismatic and highly kinetic storytelling in the premiere issue of an all-new miniseries--Star Wars: The Bounty Hunters. Truman's tale of the enigmatic Aurra Sing--bounty huntress extraordinaire and collector of lightsabers taken as trophies from Jedi kills--is the first in what will be a three issue series highlighting the life and occupational hazards of one outstanding bounty hunter from each of the three major eras of the Star Wars mythology.

Aurra Sing is a renegade bounty hunter and considered one of the very best (i.e. deadliest) of her ilk, and she's been hired by a mysterious woman to retrieve a criminal who killed four priests from a local temple. As with any bounty, Aurra issues her only promise--she will bring the bounty back, but there's no guarantee he'll be alive when she does.

"I'm having a lot of fun helping Lucasfilm and Dark Horse to develop this character. As soon as I heard about her and saw her character designs I knew that I had to become involved," said Truman. "I became quite enthusiastic, to say the least. She started to come alive for me as soon as I put my hands on the keyboard and started writing about her. That doesn't happen often, especially with someone else's character. It's usually harder work. But Aurra seems to write herself. I really lean toward darker characters--anti-heroes with big, troubled hearts and broken pasts. Aurra's one of the best I've ever been involved with."

Star Wars: The Bounty Hunters--Aurra Sing is a full-color one-shot by Tim Truman. The single-issue, 32-page adventure has an on-sale date of August 11, and will be available on newsstands and in comics shops.
