Marv Wolfman and Gene Colan are one of the best-known creative teams in the history of comics, thanks to their seventy-issue run on Marvel's classic '70s horror serial Tomb of Dracula. This July, Dark Horse is reuniting the two talents for another look at the world's most infamous vampire, with the all-new series Curse of Dracula.

Jonathan Van Helsing and his team of vampire killers are on the hunt for a group of the murdering creatures who are converging for unknown reasons to a specific region of San Francisco. At the same time, a mysterious figure is moving among circles of the political elite in the hills above the Bay Area, and it's not long before his cunning powers of persuasion affect some very powerful people. When Van Helsing and the others, with the aid of a new recruit, stumble into a virtual pit of blood-soaked horrors -- and find it teeming with ravenous vampires -- they know it's only a matter of time before they come face to face with the master of the dark: Dracula!

"My two favorite genres to write have always been horror and comedy because both effect emotions first, and the mind second," said Wolfman. "I want readers to be affected by what I'm writing. I want them to feel fear, feel powerless, and even upset. I don't want Curse of Dracula to simply be one book in this week's stack of comics. I want it to stay in your mind when you go to sleep and still be there when you wake up in the morning."

Curse of Dracula is a three-part miniseries by Marv Wolfman and Gene Colan. This full-color horror series debuts July 29, and is available at comic shops everywhere for $2.95.
