After having been shot down from the bloody skies of Brentaal, Baron Fel gets taken captive by the Rebels. As their prisoner, he tells his captors the story of his experiences with the Empire, a story filled with corruption and deceit. Given the opportunity to defect to the Alliance, will the Baron dispossess the Empire of its most formidable pilot?
Michael Stackpole (author of the X-Wing novels) writes this 48-page, special one-shot. When asked about his new character, Stackpole had this to say: "The slickest thing about Fel is that he fills a gap in the Star Wars pantheon of characters. We've got plenty of pilots, like Hobbie or Tycho, who used to be Imperials, but they all came over. Fel is the first one we've seen who remained with the Empire, even after Palpatine's death. His reasons, his beliefs and goals are new and different, and writing about him provides a whole new palette of colors to use in defining stories set in the Star Wars universe."
Steve Crespo and Chip Wallace (Green Lantern, Justice League) are the art team. Timothy Bradstreet (Unknown Soldier, Hard Looks) provides the cover.
Star Wars: X-Wing Rogue Squadron -- The Making of Baron Fel goes on sale December 3 for $3.95.
