Fans of both Marshal Law and The Mask have much to look forward to this February as two of comics' most odd-ball creations get together for an all-out mix of mayhem and murder, the likes of which San Futuro (or any other city for that matter) has never seen.

Marshal Law is an anti-hero hero-killer in a crazy city teeming with out-of-control super heroes -- but now he wants to retire. The Mask is an ancient artifact being used by Super Hero Operational Control Center (S.H.O.C.C.) to reanimate the worst super hero Marshal Law thinks he ever killed. What Marshal Law doesn't know is that the Sleepman never died -- instead he was kept in a comatose state by the none-too-bright medical staff of S.H.O.C.C., who have been waiting for just the right experiment to come along. Enter the Mask, and pretty soon Law's retirement plans have bit the dust right along with the dozens of innocent people that have gotten in the Mask's way.

"When the Mask is seen as the key to the subconscious, it has a lot of potential," explains writer Pat Mills. "It gave us a chance to bring back the Sleepman, Law's most deranged and powerful enemy and explore the depths of his soul . . . it was a hell of a trip, `cause it's pitch black in there."

Witness the spastic spectacle yourself when the first of the two-issue Mask/Marshal Law series by Pat Mills and Kevin O'Neill premieres February 25 at comic book stores everywhere for $2.95.
