Some of the most talented creators in comics have been hearing the call of the jungle! Currently, in Tarzan: Le Monstre, writer Lovern Kindzierski and artists Stan Manoukian and Vince Roucher have been telling the tale of the Lord of the Jungle's encounter with the Phantom of the Opera. And in October, writer Timothy Truman (Helix's The Black Lamb), penciler Thomas Yeates (Swamp Thing), and legendary inker Al Williamson (Star Wars), will swing into a brand-new, four-part adventure: Tarzan vs. the Moon Men!

"I have been extremely lucky in working with some of the finest artists and writers in the business," said editor Peet Janes. "Lovern, Stan, and Vince are doing some really incredible, superior work with the `Ape Man,' having him meet other legendary literary characters like the Phantom of the Opera and Frankenstein's monster. With Tim, Thomas, and Al, we'll be seeing a whole new side to Tarzan, plus some fascinating new foes!"

Based on Edgar Rice Burroughs' Moon Maid and Moon Men novels, this latest Tarzan escapade pairs him with his son, Korak, to save the Earth from an alien invasion. The "Moon Men" are actually the Va-gas, a relentless race of conquerors bent on enslaving the Earth with stolen Martian technology!

"Tarzan is the ultimate, classic hero, and Tarzan, the comic book, is a rare jewel," said Dark Horse publisher Mike Richardson. "It's a comic that successfully adapts and adds to one of the most beloved and respected adventure series of all time. We think Edgar Rice Burroughs would appreciate the care and creativity we are bringing to his creation."

At present, Tarzan: Le Monstre is available at comics shops everywhere. Tarzan vs. the Moon Men features incredible covers by John Totleben (Swamp Thing), and the first issue ships October 31, at a retail price of $2.95.
