In the icy depths of the Arctic Ocean begins a new comics adventure that brings famed artist and writer Mark Schultz a chance to work with two of his favorite undiscovered creators, and gives fans of adventure comics a reason to keep reading -- SubHuman.

Krill Stromer is a brilliant scientist and respected oceanic researcher who's investigating the mysterious legacy left to her by the grandmother she never met in hopes of discovering what connection that legacy has with a series of bizarre developments in the world's oceans. A set of strange blueprints left by the elder Stromer inspires the beautiful young scientist to build the unique craft depicted and take it on a dangerous mission to the deepest reaches of the ocean. The results of that experiment start Krill and her crew on a deadly adventure that will take them to the depths of a rapidly changing oceanic world -- and to the darkest depths of the strange world of international intrigue.

"When editor Phil Amara told me he had spoken with Michael Ryan about the possibility of developing an undersea adventure, I knew I had to weasel my way on board," said Schultz. "Michael, a paleontologist who has served as an advisor to Xenozoic Tales, and I share a passion for the sea and all things mysterious down there. With the addition of artist Roger Petersen we have formed a team that is creating a unique blend of adventure and horror, science fact and science fantasy."

SubHuman is an all-new series by Mark Schultz (Xenozoic Tales) and veteran scientist/comics newcomer Michael Ryan, featuring art by Roger Petersen and covers by Schultz. The first adventurous issue of this enthralling full-color, four-part series swims into your favorite retailer's comics shop November 18, and is available for $2.95.
