"Sil may have been killed," said editor Phil Amara, "but the horror lives on in a new genetic experiment. As Sil herself did, the new alien-human hybrid has quickly matured, and he's just as intent on propagating his deadly species."
The initial four-issue mini series has been placed on the World Wide Web as part of a promotion for those consumers who purchase the sell-through Species video. Contained in the video packaging is a coupon book that includes the otherwise unpublished Web address of the 96-page, electronic graphic novel. Species fans who call up the graphic novel on their computers will be informed of the new mini series and will be presented with the phone number of the Comics Shop Locator Service.
The new series, subtitled Human Race, is written by Gordon Rennie and illustrated by Swamp Thing artist Phil Hester and Andre Parks, with covers by Bob Eggleton (Godzilla, Best of Weird Tales) and Mark A. Nelson of Aliens fame. Species: Human Race #1 ships November 22, 1996 at $2.95.
