"Groo has had the same team working on it all these years," Aragonés explains, referring to his creative cohorts Mark Evanier, Stan Sakai, and Tom Luth. "That means the book's made with love by people who really care about it." One of the reasons the comic has been so popular might be the attitude taken by its creators toward the audience. "The principle concern we have is for the reader -- which is ourselves, too. There's never been any other interest in it."
Long-time Aragonés fans, Groo-lovers, and curious newcomers alike can pick up the whole 112-page Dark Horse Groo collection in trade paperback form at comic book stores and retail book outlets everywhere starting December 2. The full-color adventures of the goofy-but-getting-smarter-every-day warrior retails for $9.95.
