Serenity: Better Days Big Haul Giveaway from Quantum Mechanix and Dark Horse Comics
June 30, 2008 | Collegeville, PA - A huge pile of Alliance credits and other prized Serenity collectibles will be awarded in the Serenity: Better Days Big Haul Giveaway from co-sponsors Quantum Mechanix Inc. (QMx) and Dark Horse Comics. Both companies are official Serenity licensees through agreements with Universal Studios Consumer Products Group.
Inspired by the piles of cashy money scored by Captain Malcolm Reynolds and crew in the first issue of the Dark Horse comic, the Serenity: Better Days Big Haul Giveaway features one-of-kind Serenity items, including a whopping 1 million in official Alliance credits.
"It's been a little over a year since we introduced our very first Serenity product," said Andy Gore, CEO of QMx. "That was the Serenity Money Pack, a screen-accurate replica of the money seen in the film's bank heist. With that money showing up in the comic, it seemed like a perfect opportunity to partner with Dark Horse to say a big 'thanks' to Serenity fans for a fantastic first year."
The promotion runs from June 30, 2008 through Sept. 30, 2008. No purchase is necessary. Enter by downloading, printing and mailing in a completed entry form, available at www.qmxonline.com/bighaul, or by visiting the QMx website at qmxonline.com. Limit one entry per household; void where prohibited.
Alternately, you can purchase classic Bank Heist money packs from the QMx website - just $17.95 during the promotion - and your name will be entered into the drawing once for each money pack you buy. There is no limit on the number of times you can enter by purchasing a money pack, but to qualify, those money packs must be purchased directly at www.qmxonline.com/moneypack or at www.quantummechanix.com.
And what will you win should your name be drawn? Only the finest and rarest Serenity collectibles.

Four Grand Prizes:
* One million "Alliance credits," as inspired by the haul seen at the end of the first issue of Better Days, complete with replicas of the money bags seen in the Better Days comic.
* One of only three Little Damn Heroes Kaylee maquette prototypes in existence, and the only one signed by Jewel Staite. This unique item is an artist proof of the upcoming "Little Damn Heros" limited-edition animated maquette titled "Shiny".
* A Malcolm Reynolds Stunt Pistol replica, complete with stand and signature card signed by Nathan Fillion. This is the same pistol handled and reviewed by Nathan himself!
* An original set of the sold-out Serenity Blueprints, signed by the designers Geoffrey Mandel and Tim Earls. This is one of the extremely rare Final Engineering Proof sets.
Additional prizes include:
* 10 hardcover copies of Serenity: Those Left Behind.
* 10 test prints of John Mullaney's "Serenity in Flight."
* 10 copies of the fabled "misprinted" Londinum posters.
Winners will be determined by random drawing, ranked in the order in which their names are drawn. All winners will be notified via e-mail no later than October 31, 2008.
Thanks again to the Browncoat community for making 2007 a great first year. Now let's see who's going to pull in "The Big Haul!"
