It's slay-that-to-me-one-more-time in good old Sunnydale, home of that stinky tourist trap, the Hellmouth. Fans of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer franchise will thrill to this latest installment in the Buffy mythos. Collecting issues #9-11 of the ongoing series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Crash Test Demons pits our favorite killer of the undead up against an old, but none the worse for wear, nemesis.

In this second part of the "Bad Blood" story arc, Selke - the newly beautified, vampire-with-a-Buffy-sized-grudge - is teamed up once more with the evil plastic surgeon who made her so dead-sexy in the first place. This time they're hard at work on a high-octane blood formula to make a legion of superpowered vampires. But, unfortunately for Sunnydale's monster masher, that's not all they've cooked up. Word has it Selke and the mad doc have got something that'll have Buffy running the heels off her Manolos. Scream much?

Writer Andi Watson had this to say about the collection: "For me the 'Bad Blood' story is something of an epic and the second part has plenty of ingredients to keep it moving. Selke is a fun evil-doer for Buffy to battle; not only is she a bad-ass-who-keeps-coming-back-from-the-undead type but also is neurotic as hell. With the return of Spike and Dru, a crazed plastic surgeon, evil Buffys, and strange brews all ending in a Mardi Gras riot, I think it has something for everyone."

With art by Cliff Richards and Joe Pimentel, Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Crash Test Demons is in full, bloody color and goes on sale July 12 for $9.95.
