After reviewing a slew of portfolios, and thumbing through countless stapled comics and zines at this past weekend’s Stumptown Comics Festival, MySpace Dark Horse Presents is proud to announce the discovery of comic creators Sarah Oleksyk and Liz Greenfield.

Dark Horse managing editor Scott Allie spent the weekend on the hunt for new talent to fill the “newbie” slot in two upcoming issues of the online anthology comic book series, MySpaceDark Horse Presents (www.myspace.com/darkhorsepresents). Sarah and Liz will now start on their stories for MDHPunder the guidance of both Allie, and assistant editor Sierra Hahn.

Sarah Oleksyk has been making waves in the comics scene in both her native Portland, ME, and her new home in Portland, OR. Her hand-screened prints have appeared in galleries and art shows around Portland, OR and her self-published comics Roadside and OK/Not OK have earned her a dedicated following. Currently she is working on her next graphic novel, Ivy.

Dark Horse also welcomes Holland born Liz Greenfield who currently resides in Manchester UK. As a child she often accompanied her musician parents on tour, and taught herself to read using comic books after emphatically rejecting the idea of elementary school. Her first self-published comic Stuff Sucks launched in December 2004.
