SpyBoy, also known in his normal life as gawky teenager Alex Fleming, is a secret spy superpower. Unfortunately, he has only limited control over his own special powers and abilities, he's smitten-to-the-point-of-embarrassment with his superspy partner, Bombshell, and he's just been given the responsibility of saving the United Nations from a plot involving a deadly and unnerving nerve gas.

In this third trade-paperback collection of the popular Dark Horse comic, SpyBoy and Bombshell are hot on the trail of the insidious Madam Imadam, head of the international Palindrome terrorist organization. Their search leads them to the exotic pleasure city of Marispan, where high-school buddy and sometime-sidekick Butch is vacationing with his mother, enemy hottie Barbie Q is doublecrossed and fights for her life against a diminutive samurai, secrets about Alex's mother come from an unexpected source, and SpyBoy's dad, Sean Fleming, gets lucky (sort of). Whew! A mysterious city and a casino filled with spies and danger . . . what more could a SpyFan ask for?

In the August, 2001 edition of Wizard magazine, Wizard staffers listed SpyBoy among "the best trade paperbacks," noting "James Bond, Jr. goes manga-style, in this great rip-`em-up action comic packed with humor and visual gags."

Written by Peter David, with art by Pop Mhan and Carlos Meglia, SpyBoy: Bet Your Life is an 80-page graphic novel in full-technospy-color, on sale September 26 for $9.95.
