After writing the best-selling novel Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire, author Steve Perry wasn't sure if he would continue his creative run with the Star Wars universe. Luckily for fans of his inventive story-telling, Perry has continued where his book left off -- this time in comic form -- with the new Shadows of the Empire: Evolution series for Dark Horse.

Guri is a human replica droid, made to be beautiful and deadly, and worth every credit the leader of the Black Sun organization paid for her. But now that her owner has been killed and his cartel overthrown, Guri endeavors to uncover the human side she knows is inside her that she alone can not explore. The key to her humanity is held by her creator, a former captain of the Empire Droid Research Facility. Will finding her creator answer Guri's questions or lead her farther from her goal of leaving her assassin past behind?

"After I wrote the novel Shadows of the Empire, I thought I was probably done working in the Star Wars universe," comments Perry. "But when Dark Horse editor Bob Cooper offered me an opportunity to come play again in a graphic form, I jumped at the chance. I think this new series is gonna be a real E-ticket ride -- with the superb artistic crew of Ron Randall, Tom Simmons, Steve Dutro, Dave Nestelle, Duncan Fegredo and Scott Tice, fans are sure to get their money's worth."

Fans can find the new miniseries Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire: Evolution in stores March 11. Each issue of the five-part series retails for $2.95.
