John Bolton is a name synonymous with quality comics and exciting fantasy artwork. From Aliens to X-men, from Batman: Manbat to Vampirella, John Bolton's sinister, sexy, signature style has influenced and intrigued his industry peers and scores of fans -- some enthusiastic enough to start a fan club magazine in his honor. To celebrate the work of this Eisner Award-winning master artist, Dark Horse is releasing a great new collection of previously published Bolton works.

John Bolton's Strange Wink is a fascinating collection of twisted tales, featuring Bolton's "Oscar Hellian" -- a Hollywood detective story with an unexpected, supernatural twist, an adaptation of "The Erlking" -- Goethe's classic, blood chilling elegy about an evil spirit who chases sickly children to their deaths, and other intriguing tales of mystery and surreal suspense.

"John is one of the most eclectic illustrators in comics. His interests are all over the place, from very reserved stories from centuries past to brutal, nasty depictions of the present," comments Jamie S. Rich, Bolton's editor. "Whatever the project, though, he approaches it with a style and grace rare in any medium. Not to mention he's got great legs for wearing shorts."

John Bolton's Strange Wink is a three-part series collecting some of Bolton's most elusive previously published work (much of it, in fact, has been out of print until now). The first issue of the series is available March 11 for $2.95. Also shipping in March is the third issue of Unmasked: The Official John Bolton Magazine, published by the John Bolton Fan Club. This 40-page, full-color magazine is a must for Bolton fans, and issue three has an exclusive interview with Aliens artist H.R. Giger in addition to featuring rare and unpublished Bolton pieces. Unmasked is available at comic book stores everywhere for $5.95.
