Flaming Carrot meets Reid Fleming? Why not? Perhaps the two most off-the-wall, over-the-top characters in comics history, Flaming Carrot and Reid Fleming, will be teaming up this December in Flaming Carrot #32. The issue is written and drawn by both Flaming Carrot creator Bob Burden and Reid Fleming creator, David Boswell.

The two '80s classic cult comic characters come together on "Celebrity Standoff," a fictional game show pitting teams of celebrities against each other. The show this particular week features "Comic Book Tough Guys" facing off against "Tough Guys of the Stage and Screen." Reid and Flaming Carrot and The Audo Phaedon represent comics, and are up against Christopher Walken, Luciano Pavarotti, and Fabio!

Between show appearances, Reid and Flaming Carrot cruise Los Angeles in Reid's milk truck, hunting for a vampire Lassie on a skateboard that is terrorizing the city. People get in a car wreck and see the dog coming, but instead of saving them he drinks their blood!

"I can't tell you how happy I am to see this all finally come together," commented Burden. "The blending of styles has actually worked quite well, and Boswell's artwork turned out great. He's an amazing talent and he even did some of the writing, he pretty much wrote the ending himself."

The Reid Fleming/Flaming Carrot crossover arrives in stores December 26 and retails for $3.99. Additionally, the limited Flaming Carrot statue produced by Bob Burden Productions will re-solicit in December to coincide with the release of the book.
