Four gruesome pages of the upcoming Aliens: Alchemy #1 comic are set to appear in Fangoria magazine as part of a tribute to the successful motion-picture series. Fangoria magazine is the number-one publication for horror entertainment, with a circulation of well over 214,000, more than a third of which is in book stores. The preview will contain the toll-free Comic Shop Locator Service number as well, directing readers to their local comic-book stores.

"With their distribution into places like Walden, B. Dalton, and Tower Video, we'll be reaching a whole new group of potential comics readers. And with the artwork of Heavy Metal's Richard Corben, I think we've got the bait to reel these new customers in," says Dark Horse Marketing Manager, Tim Pitzer.

"It's a golden age for both Hollywood horror and for Fangoria, which at 16 years old seems to be shedding some of its adolescent obsession with gross-out gore to match its genre's newfound respectability," says the Chicago Sun-Times''David Jacobson.

Aliens: Alchemy #1 will ship September 19 with a cover price of $2.95. The Alchemy trailer will appear in the September issue (on sale August 12) of Fangoria.
