Of all the licensed properties Dark Horse has had the pleasure of adapting to comics, Predator has been one of the most entertaining and enduring lines the company has published. This March, the popular title will be taking a turn for the strange -- and the horrifying -- as a team of researchers come close to discovering the real reason Predators have been paying deadly visits to Earth.

Naturalist Maya Bergstrom and ex-combat photographer George Maxwell have just met a Predator for the first time -- an ancient, legendary warrior unparalleled by any other of his race. This Predator isn't here to hunt the warriors of the human race. He's been sent to bring down three young thrill-kill Predators who haven't followed the race's warrior code, and the ancient one's presence not only saves the lives of many non-combative humans -- it could also provide the backing these scientists have been searching for since they first hypothesized that Predators might not be exploring the Earth, but returning to it!

"Our first official comics collaboration since we were married, Predator: Homeworld gave us a chance to brainstorm a backstory for those alien uglies after 12 years of mystery kick off a new series, plant clues for a new direction, and have a baby in our spare time," said James Vance of this pairing with his wife and co-writer Kate Worley. "We think we're grateful for the experience."

Predator: Homeworld is a full-color, four-issue series that's so horrifying, you'll be happy to remind yourself it's only science fiction. Issue one of this ground-breaking new series features 32 pages packed with adventure, terror, and intrigue by Vance and Worley, and highlights the hot skills of artist Toby Cypress. Catch the first issue for only $2.95 when it hits comics shops starting March 24.
