These six creators can list amongst their credits a number of fan-favorite comics. Pearson has illustrated The Savage Dragon: Blood and Guts, The Legion of Super-Heroes, and The X-Men; Hamner has illustrated Green Lantern: Mosaic and Firearm; Phillips is best known for his work on Timberwolf and Mister Miracle; Hughes has illustrated such titles as Ghost and Gen13: Ordinary Heroes; Stelfreeze made his mark with Batman: Shadow of the Bat and James Bond: Goldeneye; and Story's work can be found in Storm, Aliens vs. Predator, and Nightwing.
The first title to ship under the Blanc Noir imprint is Jason Pearson's Body Bags. Body Bags is the story of a father/daughter team of bounty hunters. Clownface and Panda are far from being the only "body baggers" in the city of Terminus, Georgia, but they're certainly the meanest. And that's what you've got to be to keep ahead of the competition.
"Body Bags crosses all genres," said Pearson. "It has a little superhero flavor, it has a little noir flavor, and it has a little hard-boiled flavor. And then there's an ethnic side to it, as well, as the lead characters are Hispanic."
Besides a tough story and fantastic illustration by Pearson, Body Bags also benefits from covers by comics legend Michael Golden. Body Bags is a four-issue miniseries by Jason Pearson. The first issue ships August 23, 1996.
