Hellblazer helmsman Jamie Delano and V for Vendetta great David Lloyd are bringing the next generation of pulp fiction to the pages of Dark Horse Comics with their inspired new series The Territory.

A solitary man stranded on a desolate rock sticking out of the ocean is abducted by a passing pirate ship. He is without history, lacking any sense of identity, and completely uncertain of what his future might hold, but Ishmael is determined to survive and solve the mystery that is his life. And once he discovers the existence of a red-hot beauty named Scarlett, Ishmael vows against all odds to steal the object of his voyeuristic desire and escape with her to another life.

"In The Territory, we strip mine the mother-lode of classic pulp fiction to tell the story of a man lost and fighting desperately to survive in a fantastic universe, inspired by obsession with an elusive object of desire," said Lloyd. "High adventure, airships, giant slugs, robots, and a femme fatale -- what more could anyone ask for?"

The Territory, by Jamie Delano and David Lloyd, is an all-new four-issue miniseries that stretches the imagination in homage to the best mind-bending, modern pulp fiction. Issue one of this full color series arrives in comics shops January 6. Welcome yourself to the spectacle of The Territory.
