Johji Manabe, the creator behind such wildly popular titles as Outlanders and Caravan Kidd, has now masterminded an exciting new series! Dark Horse Comics is proud to announce the publication of Drakuun, a new series that promises to be some of Manabe's finest work yet.

It's the year 4077, and the last free nation, Ledomiam, has reluctantly agreed to make peace with the overbearing Romunilian Empire. Come to sign the treaty is a fierce warrior, the Dragon Princess Karula -- who has sex appeal to spare! But this T & A-bomb is about to blow the evil Empire to pieces as she makes one final, last-ditch attempt for freedom!

"Fans have eaten up Johji Manabe's previous work -- he's one of the most popular creators in manga today," said Studio Proteus founder Toren Smith. "This work is pure, unadulterated Manabe, with tons of action, violence, and humor -- everything his legions of fans have been waiting for!"

Johji Manabe fans will also look forward to July, when Dark Horse will release a trade-paperback collection of issues #1-10 of Caravan Kidd #1. Manabe's Outlanders series is currently available from Dark Horse in a four-volume set of trade paperbacks.

Drakuun is an eighteen-issue epic, told in three chapters of six issues each. The first issue of the first chapter, Rise of the Dragon Princess, debuts February 12 at a retail price of $2.95.
