The truth is here! It's no conspiracy, no fluke -- Dark Horse Comics is expanding its line of distinctive, museum-quality figurines to include creatures from the popular television phenomenon, "The X-Files." Fox has given Dark Horse exclusive rights to produce painted figures of the monsters, aliens, and phenomenal creatures from the television series.

The first piece to be produced under the arrangement will be The Flukeman, a monster from the episode "The Host." It features realistic slime and incredible detail, measuring 9.5 inches high (1/8th scale). Like the rest of the upcoming line, The Flukeman will come fully painted and presented in a designer gift box. Eisner Award-winning sculptor Randy Bowen has sculpted The Flukeman, as he will all subsequent figures based on "The X-Files."

"I'm a big fan of `The X-Files' and am proud to be associated with the show in this way," said Bowen. His initial sculpture for The Flukeman was unveiled at Comic-Con International in San Diego this year.

"Dark Horse has a rich history with Fox, which began with the publication of our first Aliens comic in 1988," said Dark Horse publisher Mike Richardson. "I'm happy we can continue to be part of the Fox `family' with this project based on `The X-Files'!"
