The Last Command tells the tale of Thrawn's insidious plot to control the galaxy. By seizing control of both the fabled Katana Fleet as well as new cloning technology, the Empire's ranks will grow to enormous proportions, and it will become more of a threat than ever before. To save the New Republic, Luke Skywalker must find and destroy the cloning cylinders which are swelling the ranks of Thrawn's army. Meanwhile, Leia is in danger of falling under the influence of an evil Jedi, who believes he will become the undisputed master of the Empire if he can gain control of Leia and her newborn twins, Jacen and Jaina.
Star Wars editor Bob Cooper raves about the art on this series: "Eddy Biukovic's vision of Star Wars is as unique and refined as Vatine & Blanchard's was on Heir to the Empire, but much more faithful to Zahn's novel. The fact that Eddy is one of the biggest Star Wars fans in existence has been a tremendous help in making sure things look right. I think Star Wars fans will be extremely pleased with the look of this series."
Mike Baron, Eisner Award-winning writer of Nexus, adapts this Timothy Zahn novel to comics, while Russ Manning Award-winners Edvin Biukovic (Grendel Tales) and Eric Shanower (Oz graphic novels) beautifully illustrate the series. Star Wars veterans, colorist Pamela Rambo and cover artist Mathieu Lauffray, complete the stellar Last Command creative team.
