This October, Rocket Comics enters some dark territory. Jason Hall (Pistolwhip) and newcomer Sean Murphy (Star Wars Tales) present Crush, a story of a girl and the monster that lies within her. The fifth title in the Rocket Comics imprint presents a terrifying take on the transition from adolescence to adulthood and a fresh look at the demons inside all of us.

In a world of subtle horrors Elizabeth Mason is about to meet one monster she never counted on-herself! On the day of her 18th birthday, Elizabeth undergoes a strange metamorphosis that, for reasons unknown, causes her to transform into a monster called Crush! But what at first seems to be a curse may in fact be the very thing that leads Elizabeth to understand who she truly is.

Jason Hall describes the series, "It's about dealing with all different types of monsters- from the everyday (high school bullies, abusive parents, judgmental neighbors) to the fantastic (deadly agents of shadow corporations, 10-foot brutish goliaths, werewolf computer-nerds)-all through the eyes of a unique 18-year-old social outcast, as she attempts to come to terms with the very real monster she's discovered existing inside herself. It's about friendship and secrets and learning that everything you thought you knew about yourself is a lie. Fun stuff like that!"

One of the benefits on working on Crush is the collaboration with Sean Murphy. "I'm literally blown away page by page as Sean's artwork comes in," Hall exclaims. "He's really strutting his artistic stuff -- and his character designs are right on. Every comic company is going to be knocking on his door-but hopefully he won't be lured away too quickly, as I've got tons of future story ideas for Crush!"

Crush is available October 22 for the retail price of $2.99
