The Mask is back for some screwy, scary action, and this time, Bob Fingerman of Minimum Wage fame is the culprit behind the caper. Aldo Krasker doesn't have much going for him, and in fact it sometimes seems the only aspect of his life with any substance is the gigantic chip on his shoulder. He's depressed, lonely, stuck in a high-stress job working for a heartless bastard, and he's not very happy, either. But when he finds a strange artifact -- an enigmatic green tiki mask -- Aldo finds his world inexplicably changing, even if he can't remember how any of it has happened.

New York City isn't typically viewed as the most stable place in the world, but it's generally not terrorized by a green-faced maniac methodically murdering seemingly random people -- which is exactly what starts happening once Aldo discovers the Mask.

"I was intrigued by the possibilities of the concept of the Mask -- that it affects each person who wears it differently," said Fingerman. "Consequently, I figured it might plumb the depths of the mind and bring our not only hidden emotions, but also suppressed anxieties. Turn the id loose. That's pretty pretentious sounding, but that was my approach."

The Mask: Toys in the Attic is an all-new, full-color, four-issue series, written by Bob Fingerman (Minimum Wage, ZombieWorld: Winter's Dregs) with art by Sibin, and covers by Doug Mahnke. The first issue of Toys in the Attic debuts August 12, and retails for $2.95.
