Fast forward to the year 2065 A.D., and the battle is about to begin. In the heart of Southern Mexico, warriors from all around the world are gathering for the "Lucha Libre" -- the tournament that will determine the ultimate warrior among men and women. It has been years since the strongest warrior, Chilbacan, has faced a worthy opponent, but word is spreading that El Charro, the only man to ever defeat Chilbacan, has returned. Chilbacan has been waiting for years to fulfil his desire to avenge his defeat, and a battle between two men of such power might be more than the sleeping Battle Gods can bear!
"The backbone of the comic is based on real legends; the story starts with a headless statue, which actually exists in an archaeological site in southern Mexico," said Francisco Ruiz Velasco, who both writes and provides art for the series. "The actual legend says that if you find the head and place it on the statue, the world will end. So I started from there, creating characters and trying to make a story that would appeal to everyone."
