Adventures of The Mask, the comic based on the popular Saturday-morning animated series of the same name, adds new artist Marc Campos to the roster this September! Starting with #9 of the wildly wacky series, Brazilian illustrator Campos will punch up the excitement and humor with his smokin' art.

"He's got an energetic style, which brings the cartoony style of the animated show to the comic-book page," said series editor Scott Allie. "In the past the book has been more concerned with adventure -- but with Marc we're focusing more on the humor."

Campos, who has worked on Justice League America and Batman: Total Justice, among others, will take over the art chores on Adventures of The Mask #9. That issue features a a James Bond spoof titled "Shaken and Stirred," in which Stanley Ipkiss is mistaken for Secret Agent 911 -- Ian Bain! Plant freaks Gardenia Thorn and Greenthumb try to turn Stanley into fertilizer, not knowing that he's actually everyone's favorite green-head -- The Mask!

"Marc balances the aesthetic aspects of comic-book art with the style of the television series," said Dark Horse president Mike Richardson. "People who like the animated series are going to love this guy!"

Adventures of The Mask #9 is written by Michael Eury, illustrated by Marc Campos, and features a cover by Neil Vokes and Jay Geldhof. It leaps into stores September 20 and retails for $2.50.
