Tyrell Stern is a multi-billionaire with a twisted interest in the Predator species and enough resources to indulge his strange obsession. In the stark Nevada desert Stern has built a complex bio-dome replete with dense jungles and a nitrogen-heavy atmosphere -- the closest approximation to a Predator's homeland his team of scientists can provide. And, somehow, he's gotten his hands on the beast itself. Stern's warped experiment soon goes awry, however, as it becomes obvious to all that the bio-dome's "impenetrable" perimeter has been compromised on more than one occasion.
"Out of all the Predator material Dark Horse has done over the years, no one's ever done a story where the Predator is taken prisoner and studied. How would being taken alive affect the galaxy's deadliest hunter?" says editor Phil Amara. "What's more, Captive is a sort of prologue for the re-launch of Predator, entitled Homeworld, coming this fall. Readers are going to learn something about these creatures they never expected."
Predator: Captive is a one-shot story of deadly obsession from writer Gordon Rennie (ZombieWorld: Home for the Holidays) and artist Dean Ormston (Predator: Hell Come A-Walkin'). This full-color comic retails for $2.95, and is available April 29.
