We were impressed by the caliber of contest entries submitted, and so will be creating a supplementary digital coloring book for all participants who'd like to be involved. The PDF of this digital book will be free alongside the physical coloring book, which comes out January 30, 2019. Submit Your Own Tomb Raider Art for a Chance to be Featured in the Coloring Book!
After years of thrilling fans in video games, comics pages, and the silver screen, now you can join Lara Croft on a whole new journey that you get to color! Dark Horse Books and Square Enix are proud to present the Tomb Raider Coloring Book, to be released January 30, 2019.
This book will feature 45 highly detailed, black-and-white images from fan favorite artists including Randy Green, Phillip Sevy, Tholia (cover artist, shown above), and Katie Swindlehurst! Spanning the history of Lara Croft and her adventures, the official Tomb Raider Coloring Book is a must-have for all fans to add to their collection.
Create your own illustration in the style of coloring book art (black-on-white line art). The Tomb Raider crew will choose five top entries to be included in the finished coloring book. That's right: your artwork and your name will be published in the coloring book!
How to Enter:
1.) View the Tomb Raider Coloring Book cover and sample page shown, and visit the Shadow of the Tomb Raider website to get an idea of the art style and Tomb Raider scenes we are looking for.
2.) Create your own black-and-white illustration inspired by this artwork--line art that people will be able to fill in with color. The contest opens on July 30, 2018. The dimensions of your artwork should be compatible with the square, 10x10" size of our coloring books. Winners will be contacted with details about final file submissions (hi-res .psd, .indd, or .tiff preferred). Digital artwork or hi-res scans of other art are both acceptable.
3.) Upload a photo of your artwork to Instagram, tag @DarkHorseComics and @TombRaider, and use the hashtags #TombRaider and #DHcolors in your post. Entries must be posted by 11:59 pm PST on Friday, August 31. [Contest now closed]
4.) Dark Horse staff and the Tomb Raider team at Square Enix will judge the contest entries and notify winners by September 7, 2018.
