Once again, following so closely the passing of comics legend Jerry Robinson, the comics industry losses another of its treasures, John Severin will be remembered for the outstanding body of work he created over more than six decades. His Two-Fisted Tales and Frontline Combat comics are classics and his  iconic covers for those titles are considered some of the best ever. His comics work included virtually every genre, and he was one of the five original artists contributing to Harvey Kurtzman's Mad magazine. John worked for a variety of publishers over the years, including Dark Horse, where his unique touch and distinctive style will be sorely missed.
