Star Wars: Legacy might be wrapping up at issue #50, but fans of the series won't have to wait long for new material from their favorite title. Star Wars Editor Randy Stradley has the scoop on this bold new era in the Star Wars: Legacy storyline.

Now it can be revealed! Readers of the series Star Wars: Legacy have been witnessing the buildup to a galaxy-wide conflict in the pages of that series. Sith Emperor Darth Krayt, long believed to be dead after a confrontation with Cade Skywalker and friends, has returned from his deathlike stasis sleep, reuniting and reinvigorating his legion of Sith minions just as his enemies are preparing to move against his empire.

The battle lines have been drawn—with the Jedi, the Galactic Alliance, Emperor-in-exile Roan Fel’s forces (including his Imperial Knights), and the aforementioned Jedi-turned-bounty-hunter Cade Skywalker on one side, and the Sith Empire on the other. One hundred thirty-three years after Luke Skywalker helped to bring down the Empire, the galaxy is once again being plunged into war.

The team who originally conceived of the Legacy series—writer John Ostrander, penciller and co-plotter Jan Duursema, inker Dan Parsons, and colorist Brad Anderson are putting a cap on the series and the story is going out with a bang. War is coming, the galaxy is at stake, and to the victor will go the spoils!
