What an incredible New York Comic Con!
 
Whether it was breaking some of the most exciting announcements of the year at our Dark Horse: CLASSIFIED! panel or greeting enthusiastic fans for signings with Dark Horse's many writers and artists, New York Comic Con 2015 was one of the most memorable Dark Horse appearances of the entire year.
 
That said, with so much going on, it can be hard to catch up with every breaking news announcement that Dark Horse had this week. Not to fear! James Cameron's Avatar arrives at Dark Horse
 
During a special panel at New York Comic Con 2015, Dark Horse Comics in conjunction with Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products and James Cameron’s Lightstorm Entertainment announced that AVATAR, the highest-grossing film in history, will expand into the world of comic books in anticipation of the three upcoming film sequels.

How To Train Your Dragon continues in original graphic novels 

How To Train Your Dragon is coming to graphic novels, and who better to discuss the future of Hiccup and Toothless than two very special New York Comic Con 2015 surprise guests: How To Train Your Dragon co-director Dean DeBlois and Dragons: Race to the Edge writer Richard Hamilton?
 
Dean DeBlois and Richard Hamilton had their first exclusive interview with The Hollywood Reporter, and surprised How To Train Your Dragons fans with a special signing during the convention.
 
Frank Miller's Sin City: The Hard Goodbye Curator's Collection
 
In news that broke with Comic Book Resources, Dark Horse announced that Frank Miller's first Sin City story would be collected in the first-ever Curator's Collection in conjunction with Kitchen Sink books. Clocking in at 224 pages, the 15 x 21.5 inch hardcover includes detailed reproductions of Frank Miller's original The Hard Goodbye art, as well as an introduction from Robert Rodriguez, an interview with Miller, and an epilogue by Dark Horse president and publisher Mike Richardson, The Hard Goodbye Curator's Collection is one piece of Sin City history fans won't want to miss.
 
In celebration of this historic collection, Frank Miller himself made a rare public appearance at the Dark Horse booth for a special signing for fans.
 
The Mœbius Library
 
Dark Horse is proud to announce that the library of Mœbius, one of the most influential and respected artists in the history of comics and cartooning, will arrive on store shelves in a gorgeous series of hardcover volumes available for the first time in nearly 20 years. 
 
Revealed by Bleeding Cool, Dark Horse is working with the Mœbius estate to welcome his work back into print.

Buffy gets back to her roots with Buffy: The High School Years--Freaks and Geeks OGN
 
As revealed at the Dark Horse: CLASSIFIED! panel at New York Comic Con 2015, Dark Horse will deliver a new original graphic novel series titled Buffy: The High School Years, executive produced by Joss Whedon. The first volume will be written by Eisner Award–winning author Faith Erin Hicks (The Adventures of Superhero Girl) with artist Yishan Li. Together they’re bringing the angst, the action, and the cool to Buffy the Vampire Slayer!

The Legend of Korra original graphic novels finds its artist
 
At New York Comic Con 2015, Dark Horse Comics announced that Brittney Williams (Patsy Walker, A.K.A. Hellcat) will be the artist for its line of Legend of Korra comics. Brittney Williams will join The Legend of Korra writer and cocreator Michael Dante DiMartino for the new series of original graphic novels, which will begin in late 2016, continuing the story of the fan-favorite and award-winning animated series.

Tomb Raider returns with Mariko Tamaki at the helm
 
In 2016, Lara Croft is back, and she’s bringing a whole new bag of tricks to the table at the hands of award-winning writer Mariko Tamaki.
 
Best known for her collaboration with Jillian Tamaki on This One Summer, Mariko Tamaki brings a new voice and mission for Lara Croft in the upcoming Tomb Raider series, which follows the iconic adventurer through a new set of challenges, exotic locations, and—of course—tombs.

Dark Horse to deliver ongoing Aliens: Defiance series
 
As announced on the Dark Horse: CLASSIFIED! panel at New York Comic Con, writer Brian Wood (The Massive, Rebels) and artist Tristan Jones (Mad Max: Fury Road, TMNT) will take on the xenomorphs just in time to celebrate the anniversary of Aliens with a new ongoing series—Aliens: Defiance!

Lone Wolf 2100 returns for monthly series
 
From screenwriter Eric Heisserer (Shaper) and artist Miguel Sepulveda (Red Lanterns, Action Comics) comes Lone Wolf 2100, a reimagining of Kazuo Koike’s classic manga Lone Wolf and Cub set in the not-too-distant future.

Art and Franco return with Aw Yeah Comics: Action Cat! 

Aw Yeah Comics: Action Cat! is the latest in Art and Franco’s run of incredible all-ages comics at Dark Horse, including Itty Bitty Hellboy, Itty Bitty Mask, and Grimmiss Island. The upcoming four-issue miniseries holds a new adventure for the valiant Action Cat and his sidekick Adventure Bug as they endeavor to bring comics to the good people of Skokie—even as the insidious Evil Cat lurks behind the scenes.

Bird Boy webcomic gets graphic novel series
