Dark Horse Comics is only one pillar of the triumvirate of awesome that is Chobits. We work with CLAMP, the genius creators of Chobits, and our partners in crime, FUNimation, and as the pillars align our powers create something amazing. Thus, the birth of this blog post.

In celebration of our Chobits omnibus editions and the recently released Chobits: The Complete Series box set, we have put our villainous minds together to come up with a contest so poetic you'll wish you had an extra syllable or two to compete.

That's right, this here is a haiku contest. Give us your best haiku pertaining to the manga or anime Chobits and you could win a copy of the DVD box set and our two omnibus volumes. You have until midnight, May 20, to write your haiku in the comments below. Please be sure to sign in to our comment system using your Facebook account so we have a way to contact you if you are chosen as the winner.

Here's a little inspiration to help get that haiku muse in the mood:

Do you need a heart to fall in love?

EDIT 5/24/11: Thomas Lynn Martin is our WINNER! Congratulations, Thomas. It was tough decision as there were a lot of really great Haiku's, and some really funny ones as well. In the end we thought Mr. Martin's haiku did a lot to show what the Anime/Manga is about. Thank you everyone for participating.
