When I lived in Los Angeles as a young man, I wasn't far from the Eagle Rock neighborhood in which I've put Concrete.
I used to jog at night. It was cooler. The air was slightly better, though the sky was still starless and reddish-brown with smog. The palms would rustle, Cats and other animals would dart from shadow to shadow.
I'd fantasize about the stories unfolding behind the glowing windows.
"Intersection" is set in this mindspace.
It's about three couples, their lives intersecting, and the things men do because of their women. Some of them are pretty crazy and lethal.
And of course in Concrete's case, it's comparatively patient and benign. But he does get to see a little blood in this story.
Hmm. Maybe should've had a spoiler warning, there.
