Manga Mondays: Trigun Maximum Omnibus Volume 2

You gotta love Trigun! Few series have captured the imagination of manga and anime enthusiasts as has Yasuhiro Nightow’s signature creation. I mean, have you ever been to a comic con or anime show where someone wasn’t dressed as Vash the Stampede? How many Wolfwoods have you seen dragging gigantic cross/guns across exhibition halls? Just Google “Vash cosplay” and marvel at the results. The fan connection to Trigun runs deep.
And when you read the manga, the reasons are clear: ferocious imagination, off-the-chain characters, insane action, high stakes, big laughs. Like few series I’ve ever read, Trigun revels in its own eccentricity, delights in its madness. Have you ever seen an amazing band that appears to be having even more fun than the audience? I’ll let you in on a secret: they probably are! And I suspect Mr. Nightow is at the eye of the fun hurricane himself. (Check out his maniacal Blood Blockade Battlefront if you don't believe me!) Luckily for all of us, his party has an open door, and the Trigun and Trigun Maximum omnibus program is your ticket to the extravaganza. Trigun Maximum Omnibus Volume 2 drops any day, and at over six hundred pages at under twenty bucks, it’s a cheap date—considerably less than sixty billion double dollars!
