Fine people of comics, I say that we need more stories about DOCTORS! Super heroes are just fine, thank you, but what about a DOCTOR’s thrilling adventures? Writing a ROGUE prescription! Lancing a WICKED boil! Riding a sentient evil motorcycle that’s secretly a unicorn! Stuff like that! Well let us wait no longer, because I have written this comic, The Adventures of Dr. McNinja: Night Powers. Also there are no prescriptions or boils. Just the motorcycle.

i09 said the comic was “a Venture Brothers-like orgy of genre cool, a collage of epic stories that manage to both parody and lovingly exploit the sci-fi fan's favorite clichés and devices... almost too much awesome for one comic.” The Washington Post called it one of “5 Web Comics That Will Make You Ditch Your Newspaper.” (which I thought was an odd thing for a newspaper to say, but hey I’ll take it.)

Somewhere between 140-180,000 unique visitors come to read drmcninja.com every day. They’ve been waiting for this book to come out for two years. A common comment I’ve been hearing now that the book has been picked up by Dark Horse is, “This will be the first time I’ve bought something from a comic shop.”

Too entice further, I’ve made sure to stuff Night Powers with extra goodies that aren’t online! There’s a special introduction comic by Hark! A Vagrant’s Kate Beaton, AND a never before seen 22-page comic by the Tick’s Benito Cereno and Les McClaine. It’s a tale of a magical snowman come to life to battle frost giants. Again, the typical doctor adventures that people crave.

If this sounds like the sort of comics fun you or your customers might enjoy, I encourage you to check out my website, drmcninja.com. The stories collected in this volume are Monster Mart, Death Volley, and Doc Gets Rad. They’re about a super powered supermarket owner, a Mayan doomsday device that can only be stopped by TENNIS, and the previously mentioned evil magic motorcycle. I hope you like them!
