I'm pretty hard on myself. When we get a good, positive, enthusiastic response to an issue, like we're getting on Doctor Solar #1, it keeps me off the drugs. I'm talking Advil, Tylenol...The best thing is when people get involved enough to anticipate what's coming and talk about it at signings, conventions and online. It matters. This is the most collaborative mass medium ever invented. We all love it. We're all in it together. The cliche about a character coming alive, "taking on a life of his own" really happens.
