It was all born of an obscure social media joke, and became a story all of its own. Newsarama cornered Shaner and Cosby to find out more about the Buddy Cops one-shot leading up to its March 13th release.
THE WEEK IN REVIEW
"Only two more issues to go -- and then a super-deluxe hardcover (fingers crossed). This series has been one of the standouts of the year, and something I am sure I will read and reread for years to come.' - Comics Bulletin
"If you’ve ever been a fan of old Japanese samurai movies or even just have a bit of interest in them, I would recommend picking this one up. It may be a bit too serious for some comic fans out there and perhaps not enough action, but you won’t hear those complaints coming from my direction. This series is telling a story, a traditional story that is about more than just samurai’s kicking ass; a story that is about Japanese values and heritage. I would say you owe it to yourself to give this one a shot. For god sakes, get a little bit of culture in your lives!" - Comic Bastards
"All this aforementioned horror and violence is rendered in terrible detail by Juan Ferreyra. It's absolutely insane how good this issue looks. There are stakes jamming through eyes, dogs tearing dudes apart and so much blood you feel like you are swimming in it. Ferreyra has superstar written all over him and the words are written in blood. Visually, this book is leaps and bounds above 99% of the other books on the stands. Whatever Ferreyra does next, buy it. Keep this man creating, he's too good to ever stop." - IGN
"Ending on a spectacular note, readers will be very satisfied with the finale in “Colder” #5. Definitely pick up the “Colder” series for the amazing artwork. I am very excited to see what the next projects will be for writer Paul Tobin and artist Juan Ferreyra. These are two names you have to look out for." - Bloody Disgusting
""Hellboy in Hell" #4 is a great conclusion to this first story arc, and it makes me that much more eager to see what's up next. "Hellboy in Hell" shows a master returning to his craft and exceeding reader expectations. This is a horror comic that reminds just how good both the genre and the medium can be." - Comic Book Resources
"Mignola hasn't really given any clues as to what the future holds for Hellboy in Hell. Issue #4 feels like an ending of sorts, and a beginning of sorts. Maybe it's true that when Satan closes one door he opens another, because that what it feels like here. Hellboy has -- for the first time in his life -- no destiny. No horde of monsters pushing him one way or the other. Nothing to fight for or against. And how will he feel about that, I wonder?" - Comics Bulletin
Star Wars: Dark Times—Fire Carrier #2
"With the story taking an upswing, and the artwork keeping a steady pace, I give Dark Times: Fire Carrier #2 a five out of five metal bikinis. If you didn’t dive in yet with issue #1, now is a great time to jump in, whether you’ve read any of the Dark Times series or not." - Roqoo Depot
"With a story title like ‘Fire Carrier’, is this story about someone or something who comes to bring light and warmth in the darkness… or to burn away everything to ash. Can’t wait for the next issue." - Big Shiny Robot
