ON SALE THIS WEEK IN REVIEWS
Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 9 #7
"If you have not read Buffy Season 9 issue 6 or any of the previous Season 9 issues, we ask, “What is wrong with you? Read the books!!” - Horror Haven Reviews
"I’d love to know where this story is going after the unexpected twist at the end of this issue, and I’ll eagerly await the next issue of Season 9. Hopefully by the end of S9 #8 I’ll have a better idea of what this twist ending actually meant." - The Quarter Bin
"I’ve always liked Conan on a basic level, but I don’t think I’ve ever been this enthused about the character in comic form." - Fandom Post
"Conan The Barbarian #2 is a true gem. One of those comics that will have a Conan fan cheering out loud by the end of the book." - Geeks of Doom
"Overall, I highly recommend the Dark Matter Series. I do not recommend picking up this mini-series from the middle, but rather starting from the beginning and seeing it all the way through. 8.5 Great" - IGN
"If you’ve been digging the series thus far then you will continue to do so with this issue. If you’re still not into Sci-fi then really it’s your loss, the rest of us will continue to enjoy these memorable characters with bad ass skills and one-liners." - Comic Bastards
"The mother/daughter team of P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast, together with Kent Dalian, bring a culmination to the first story arc of this series in glorious fashion. While I have never read the books, I am thoroughly enjoying the comic series." - Geeks of Doom
"With a good mix of art styles that complements the storytelling and a good connection to the novels, House of Night has been a fun series that stands well on its own but definitely encourages you to check out the books as well." - Fandom Post
Lobster Johnson: The Burning Hand #3
"The plot gets more and more paranormal, as skull men who can produce fire that cannot be extinguished with water, green ghostly mist, psychic knowledge, and circles drawn from blood take center stage. With a narrative that keeps heating up, issue four is poised to be downright explosive." - Daily Blam
"Lobster and the boys are in excellent hands and I eagerly anticipate everything Mignola and crew has waiting for us. If Lobster Johnson approaches what Hellboy et. Al. has brought it will be a fine journey indeed. Pick this one up and see what you think, I’m fairly certain you will enjoy it and if not at least you helped support a creator owned project." - Just About Comics
"Everything as usual is on point in this issue, the art is perfect, the dialog both inspiring and frustrating and the story wonderful. Tom Morello has done an outstanding job with this comic and really has something special here. If you’re not reading it yet, you really are missing out on something great!" - BAMFAS
"Morello takes this issue to the next level and adds a bit of mature content that wasn’t as apparent in the previous issues… The art is still top notch and the action scenes are clear and concise which is important with action scenes on the printed page. I’m digging this series again and strangely looking forward to the next issue after the crazy cliff hanger in this issue." - Comic Bastards
Robert E. Howard’s Savage Sword #4
"This issue of "Robert E Howard's Savage Sword" contains many endings for stories begun last issue. This might preclude many new readers from sampling, but one can only hope they instead track down the last issue as well and enjoy the great times. This book makes an effort to keep the pulp quality strong -- something other books don't even attempt. We can only hope a generation of fiendish readers are being fed this book by smart uncles and older brothers. This is the sort of stuff lifelong affairs are built on." - CBR
"Like the best Robert E. Howard stories, these yarns are sometimes crude, sometimes overwrought with their dialogue, but still crackle with a vibrant energy that more than makes up for their shortcomings. These may not be the best, but they’re tons of fun to read." - Fandom Post
Star Wars: Agent of the Empire—Iron Eclipse #4
"This one is the Star Wars book you really check out. It's too bad almost every other Star Wars book isn't like this series. Fun and sexy and exciting. The issue was a bit of a drop compared to prior issues but there is no doubt it will rebound. The lead character, Jahan Cross, in one panel explains one of the things that never made sense about the movies. That one panel is worth cover price." - Technorati
"I’m looking forward to the conclusion of this swift sci-fi adventure, but hopefully that doesn’t mean the end of Jahan. The Star Wars universe is a big place, but there’s definitely room for Agent Cross’s brand of adventure in it." - Broken Frontier
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic—War #3
"Some good setup for the next act, and great to see Gryph again. and as our hero with the worst luck says: “Because when Zayne Carrick makes travel plans… things are never normal.”- Big Shiny Robot
"This series has never had a moment to rest so it’s not surprising to see this mid-point hammer down the story and pave the road for the next issues, the next two books should be a very interesting ride for those following it so far." - BAMFAS
"The comic adaptation of Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan’s “The Strain” is still going strong with issue four. With improved artwork by Huddleston, more vampires and the plot is thickening. “The Strain 4” is worth reading." - ReviewFix
