Star Wars #1 Sells Out...Again! | DHBlog

The critically acclaimed and highly anticipated Star Wars #1, written by Brian Wood, has officially sold out of its second printing before the release of issue #2!

THE WEEK IN REVIEW

Angel & Faith #18

"Angel & Faith" #18 is a perfect example of that entertainment; Gage and Isaacs have turned out not just a good media tie-in comic, but a good comic, period. Its parent title might run a little hot and cold, but "Angel & Faith" has been consistently strong." - Comic Book Resources

Criminal Macabre: Final Night—The 30 Days of Night Crossover #2

"Final Night is the end of one of Steve Niles' franchises, but it is also a beginning. This little glimpse into his world is going to have you demanding more and more Niles.  And he is there to deliver it." - Comics Bulletin

"With Christopher Mitten being the current artist on both regular series, his artwork is obviously a perfect fit for this crossover, bringing the story to life with an intoxicating mix of horror and noir styles." - Newsarama

Emily and the Strangers (Buzz Parker cover) #1

"Emily and her cats may have just met their match and I, for one, can't wait to see what these two kooky kids get up to in upcoming issues. As F. Scott Fitzgerald famously wrote, "Strange children should smile at each other and say, Let's play." - IGN

"All in all, reading Emily and the Strangers made me feel like being a teenaged goth again. It was ridiculous fun and filled my head with the possibilities of the following issues. It may be a done-to-death plot, but Emily makes it awesome." - Comic Booked

Orchid #12

"An epic look at a sunken, ransacked Earth where most of the population lives in fear, "Orchid" allowed the politically expressive Morello to blend monsters and messages with a tale of heroism and sacrifice." - Comic Book Resources

"Orchid is a comic that delivers a message that gets you to think while avoiding being preachy. That’s intelligently delivered in a beautiful package with solid and entertaining story. Do yourself a favor and get the complete series if you haven’t yet. It’s rare for a comic to make you think and entertain at the same time. This might be Tom Morello’s first foray into comics, but it’s one hell of a start." - Graphic Policy

R.I.P.D.: City of the Damned #3

"The creative team delivers a thrilling issue thats jam-packed with elements of humor, horror, action and plot development; but the accelerated speed in which the narrative is told will almost make readers feel as though the issue is abridged. On the other hand, this could be the impatience for next months installment talking." - Bloody Disgusting

"The writing is excellent in this issue, and the artwork has stepped up to match. This series is meant to be a ramp up for the film, and if this series is any indication, the movie is going to be a major hit." - Digital Noob / EGM

Star Wars: Agent of the Empire—Hard Targets #4

"This issue contains everything that we have come to enjoy from this series: fast paced exciting art, and terrific writing with great dialogue and strong characters.  This book is one you will want to read more than once." - EU Cantina

"I’m already upset that there’s only one issue left in this series. This continues to be a highly entertaining read and a beautifully rendered book. Overall grade: A-" - Sci Fi Pulse
