ON SALE THIS WEEK IN REVIEWS

Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 9 #12

"This issue has a lot of action. The Wolfram and Hart storyline is exciting and it will be interesting to see what their next move will be…The betrayal at the end of the issue was a shock and I can’t wait for Buffy to lose her s#!t in the next issue!" - BAMFAS

"This is one of the funniest and most enjoyable Buffy reads yet. It’s very bright, techy and geeky without trying and something that will put a nice kick in your day." - Comics Grinder

Conan the Barbarian #7

"This is a perfect jumping-on point for new readers. You don’t have to have read the last six issues, or ANY previous issues of Conan for that matter, to enjoy this story. I cannot recommend this comic any higher!" - Geeks of Doom

"Conan the Barbarian" #7 is a firm reminder that strong creators can make any and every character worth reading. If you've never read a Conan story, this current series is a great place to start. Wood and Cloonan have turned out some comics that grabbed my attention in seconds, and "Conan the Barbarian" #7 is no exception to that rule. Definitely check it out." - Comic Book Resources

The Creep #0

"It’s demented and twisted and dark, but my oh my, am I in the mood for that. I’ve been on a horror comic kick lately, and just about no other publisher does horror like Dark Horse. While this comic may not be horror in the tradition EC way, it definitely fills some of that void, and I’m really looking forward to the continuing series." - Geeks of Doom

"There’s so much weight to Arcudi’s words and Case’s visuals, but they do so in a way that keeps the mystery at the forefront and everything else sitting subtly in the background. The Creep #0 requires a bit of careful, thoughtful reading in order to fully appreciate everything that’s being done, but I promise that the effort is worthwhile. 9/10" - IGN

 The Massive #3

"Wood brings his first arc to a close in issue #3, and it definitely leaves the reader wanting much more of this new story...In a period where Wood's name seems to pop up all over the industry, this series has emerged as one of his most ambitious and rewarding so far. 9/10" - IGN

"The Massive" #3 caps off the opening salvo from this book and solidifies its stance as one of the boldest and smartest books to drop in 2012. If you are after a novel-style comic with great arcs that build to really mean something then you need to jump on this book with both feet. "The Massive" is a perfect personification of everything Brian Wood does so well with the sequential form over time." - Comic Book Resources

Star Wars: Knight Errant—Escape #3

"It seems like things are setting up for a pretty nice battle in issue #4.  While there were plenty of battles this issue not many actually involved Kerra.  Instead we get a fair bit of back story." - VG Revolution

"John Jackson Miller continues to surprise me with his pacing and storytelling, and the art team does a wonderful job illustrating all the different moods and settings for the issue." - EU Cantina

Star Wars: Lost Tribe of the Sith #1

"A good start – Spiral #1 sets us off on an adventure and drops a mystery on us at the end – Who are the Doomed?" - Big Shiny Robot

"Recommended for die-hard Star Wars Expanded Universe fans of the highest Jedi order, or fantasy geeks who’d mod a lightsaber into their Skyrim save-game if they could." - Comic Bastards

The Strain #7

"Lapham is doing a wonderful adaptation of an original del Toro story, something not all writers would risk. The art is consistently fantastic, and the story progresses in a way that keeps things flowing smoothly. I hope that the next issue brings that exterminator’s discovery to the forefront, along with a little more information about how to kill the strain." - Bloody Disgusting

"The story holds up and keeps the reader engaged. The writers have crafted a story that builds with dread, each passing page. It's very violent and it reflects the lesser qualities of humanity when dealing with things best left alone."- Technorati
