Cullen Bunn writes Conan!
"Cullen Bunn has done it again! The introduction to this story tests Conan’s mettle to the breaking point. After Conan defeats the enemy he tells one of the survivors that he might have let him live, except that he wanted to use one of the horses and they were scared off! The barbarian was willing to take another life simply because he couldn’t get his hands on another horse. Bunn let’s us see an untamed world in all its diabolical glory." -Word of the Nerd

"This book deserves its title: Conan is a slayer, and Crom help you if you get in his way. A strong story with fierce imagery. Long may this Conan make his way. Overall grade: A" -SciFiPulse
As introductions go it’s a punchy, aggressive affair that tells you everything you need to know about the man himself. Conan’s encounter with the Kozaki plants the seeds for some interesting stories as the series progresses, and Bunn and Davilla combine to provide an emotive, visceral take on the iconic barbarian. Highly recommended.

The story is as brutal as you'd want and expect and Cullen Bunn is weaving a mystery through it all that has me intrigues." -Weird Science
"This whole affair is Conan as he is meant to be. The art, the writing, the very feel of the thing are drenched in his dna. Overall Cullen understands what the avid fan wants from this book and he delivers." -Outright Geekery
"Conan the Slayer #1 is a refreshing new direction for the Cimmerian, but one that fans will no doubt be familiar with. Being bold and bloody, the creative team more than grabbed my attention, and despite the tempo dropping dramatically later on in the issue, it should ultimately benefit the series in the long run. So make sure you pick this book up from your local comic book store come July 13th." -Bounding Into Comics
