When editor Randy Stradley offered me a chance to delve into Chewie’s past, I was excited. I knew it had to be a flashback, and I knew it had to show Chewbacca in a way we’ve never seen him before. This story depicts a critical point in his life’s journey—one that will help make him the furry oaf we all know and love.
