Artist of the Eisner Award–winning adventure comic Bandette, and cowriter with Paul Tobin of the series Adventure Time: The Flip Side. Past works include Gingerbread Girl, Banana Sunday, and Small Favors, as well as art for various comics published by Marvel, Dark Horse, and others.
What are your favorite working tools?
The digital drawing application Manga Studio for digital art; ink wash for physical drawing.
What talent would you most like to have?
Fluency in a foreign language. Any language other than English would do.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Committing to a career as a creative person, and not looking back.
If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
I’m pretty perfectly happy in Portland. The weather suits me.
What is it that you most dislike?
Willful ignorance.
Who are your heroes (fiction or non)?
Richard Feynman and Jack Kirby.
