What is it that sets you apart from your fellow superhero roommates?

Monkey Woman may be the only superhero in the lair that is more of a tools/skills-based superhero, as opposed to one with a supernatural power. Monkey Woman mainly relies on her banana weaponry, vine, bamboo stick, and general combat training/agility to fight crime. She does have an incapacitating monkey screech, but this is also a trained skill and is only effective at close range.

Were any animals harmed in the making of your outfit?

I hope not - I love animals! All the fur / leather in Monkey Woman's original outfit are synthetic materials. So unless you count the times I accidentally stuck myself with a sewing needle, no harm came to any animals on my watch.

What is it that sets you apart from your fellow superhero roommates?

What sets me off from my superhero roommates is the ability to make people laugh. Laughter is the key to your heart. And as a plus size Superhero I can take whatever comes my way and have fun with it. I am very loud, confident and easy going. Another thing that sets me apart is the gift I give to others. Everyone has insecurities and I show them how to have confidence in themselves while having fun at it. You can't change who you are so you may as well look for the good in it and deal with it. After I tell them about my story and powers, people start laughing and shouting Fat Momma, Fat Momma. And last but not least, I am the only Superhero with a theme song--and a catchy one at that. I even had the other Superheroes singing my song for me.

Fat Momma, Fat Momma
I'm here to save the day.
Fat Momma, Fat Momma
I'll take your food away.
So, don't eat those chips and ice cream now
Cause I'll take them from you so you won't look like a cow
Fat Momma, Fat Momma
Don't you try and take my donuts away.

Give us a couple lines from your personal monologue you like to spout off once you've defeated your enemy.

When I defeat a villain I say:
I'm ridding the world of bullies one donut at a time.
The Fat Lady has sung.
Another day saved by donuts.
Donuts away. (As I fly away)

What is it that sets you apart from your fellow superhero roommates?
I would say the fact that I don't meet the height requirements for the rides in amusement parks Ha ha ha... ::Cricket:: ::Cricket:: ...ummm moving right along. I guess I would have to say my age, being the youngest in the house, I'm still a little inexperienced and have a lot of growing up to do. All of the other roommates have been out in the world longer than I have and have experienced a lot more than I have even begun to scratch at. I've come to learn that everyday you really do learn something new. I would also say that I'm quick on my feet, with thinking that is. I can make up a joke and have a comment like that! Bam, Bam, Bam! I've been told that I need a filter on my mouth sometimes, because some times the signals from my brain don't reach my mouth fast enough and I say what's ever on my mind. I also have a great sense of humor and comedic timing. I've been told my humor and wit is unmatchable and I dare someone to CHALLENGE ME!... I've also been told that I bring joy wherever I go. I have the uncanny ability to ease the tension of any situation and make people forget about their problems, I can make anyone laugh. One thing that is notable about me, I can't take anything serious, I don't know why. People waste too much time in life on being upset or worried. Relax, enjoy what ever comes your way. Man, I really went off on a tangent on that one, huh?

What do you normally do for the 4th of July?

Well I'm glad you asked that question. You see every Fourth of July I go down to Colonial Williamsburg and re-enact the American Revolution... ::Cricket:: ::Cricket:: ...ok, but seriously every Fourth of July I spend at home with my family in Staten Island. We always throw a huge party at my house and invite all my relatives and family friends. We usually have over a 100 people at my house. We spend the whole day barbecuing and drinking. I've been doing that every Fourth of July since I can remember. Well, except for that one Fourth of July when I ran the annual Fourth of July marathon. It was like five miles, man was I running. I was going so fast I must of ran like Mach one or something, no one could catch me...umm but I digress, so every year party at my house. If you want you're all more than welcome to come, the more the merrier. Although I usually only remember what happens before Two pm after that everything is a haze.

What is it that sets you apart from your fellow superhero roommates?

I suppose it is my background that sets me apart. Since I was five years old, I have been fantasizing about being a superhero. Luckily, I found a woman to spend my life with who doesn't mind! After my father died when I was 14, I looked to the characters of comic books for role models: Spider-Man, in particular. As I progressed through my teens, I became obsessed with the idea of one day making REAL web-shooters with an anaerobic synthetic compound similar to Spidey's web fluid, so I got into chemistry, and that eventually led me to computer science. After college, I found out what it was like to wear the "official" Spider-Man costume and worked for Marvel as a Spider-Man performer on the weekends. At the age of 25, I had grown up to be Spider-Man! (Well, okay, one of them anyway....) My life-long pursuit to be a superhero fostered a desire to truly help others and has led me to become involved in community service events and great organizations like Rotary International. Superheroes have been a constant influence in my life, and the posters, figurines, costumes, and books with which I surround myself serve as reminders how to live it.

How receptive are you to constructive criticism?

I get it. How receptive am I to "Feedback?" Very clever... I think there are opportunities to learn in every situation, even where you least expect it. Part of being a superhero, in my opinion, is having an open mind. That includes being willing to accept that you have aspects of your personality you can improve upon. It is hard to be receptive to constructive criticism when you don't have respect for the person giving it, which emphasizes the importance of having this respect for others. After all, you are only worthy of receiving the respect that you give.

- Tyveculus is an amazing and committed super hero.

What is it that sets you apart from your fellow superhero roommates?

I believe the main goal of my superhero roommates was to win. I believe what set me apart from them was I always believed it was more important to stay true to my creation than winning. Integrity means life, so no matter what challenge presented itself I believe I made the right choice; consequently, this protected me from embarrassing myself or my family. I believe some of my superhero roommates changed, even if it meant making a wrong decision, to gain what little advantage they could. I can say, with no regrets, that I was truthful and remained true to my Superhero's theme, "May integrity be your source of strength; it is stronger than any test could ever be!"

My super hero character is different than the others in that I truly am living my super hero life and while the others might have been making up hero lives to sound fantastic, I was making up my mundane life to sound more boring!

What's the worst job you've ever worked?

At one point, after graduating Valedictorian from my high school class, I worked in factories in Indiana - had thirteen jobs in two years (think I was on the wrong career path?). One of the most memorable jobs from that time period was making rear suspension for major auto companies. This job was so dangerous, workers had to wear ear plugs, goggles, leather gloves, full legged jeans, and steel toed boots just to step on the factory floor. Welding, bending steel, priming, painting, assembling . . . it was hard physical labor. I kicked quota butt for a few weeks. Before I got fired. I think I spot welded department store shelving after that. For a few weeks . . .
