Fans jonesing for more sidesplitting Tag & Bink shenanigans will thrill to the new misadventures of this hapless pair, members of the Rebel Alliance, who have somehow stumbled past the worst Imperial perils with their limbs intact. In Star Wars: The Return of Tag & Bink - Special Edition, the duo set out to rescue a certain smuggler trapped in carbonite - with the help of Lando Calrissian! One thing leads to another, and they manage to subdue the deadliest bounty hunter in the galaxy on their way to infiltrating the Hutt palace. Star Wars fans know what comes next, and there will be guest appearances of favorite characters on the way to the Sarlacc pit, the Death Star, and Endor!

We recently had a chance to talk with Tag and Bink writer Kevin Rubio to find out what's new with him and his blunderous duo. Enjoy!

-Tag and Bink are back at last! What have you been up to since we last heard from the pair?

Kevin: I've mainly been writing or pitching TV shows. I executive produced a show for Cartoon Networks called Duel Master. I also wrote on a couple other shows, contributed content for a few DVDs, supervised the FX for my friends film "Free Enterprise: The Five Year Mission Edition" (available now), and I've been doing some stuff for Lucasfilm.

-The Tag and Bink comics are always filled with tons of great visual puns. How many of these are worked out in the script and how many do you work out with artist Lucas Marangon?

Kevin: I usually write all of them ahead of time. Although, my favorite one for this new issue is totally Dave Land and Lucas - it's on the last panel of the book.

-Star Wars fans can be rather protective of the franchise. Do you ever hear from angry fans for poking fun at their baby?

Kevin: There were a few that went a little crazy of the whole "Lando was never at the Battle of Tanaab". I don't make things better for them with this issue.

-Writing comedy can be very difficult, do you find some ideas work in the script but don't transfer well into a visual medium?

Kevin: I've been lucky not to encounter that yet, but I will say that Lucas Marangon makes my stuff funnier.

-The Star Wars COPS parody film you made (Troops) is still a big fan favorite. Will we ever see an official dvd release or perhaps a followup?

Kevin: That's one of those things that's up to Lucasfilm.

-Is there a Star Wars character or story that you consider sacred and would never parody or is it all fair game?

Kevin: It's all fair game, baby.

-Tag and Bink vs. Rosencranz and Guilderstern on Survivor, who wins?

Kevin: Bink and Guilderstern team up and defeat Tag and Rosencranz.
