Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome aboard Dark Horse Airlines flight 3PO. I hope you've had a pleasant journey so far and are enjoying the sights as we make our way across the beautiful continent of Europe.
If those of you on the left side of the plane will look out your windows you'll see artist Ramon F. Bachs. There he is, down there in Spain, hard at work on Star Wars: Qui-Gon & Obi-Wan -- Last Stand on Ord Mantell. Ramon is a twenty-six year old Spaniard who has been drawing ever since he was a young boy in Barcelona. After attending art school, Ramon went to work for various European publishing houses including Camaleon, Planeta deAgostini, and Dude Comics. As you can probably tell from his previous work on the "Infinity's End" story arc from Star Wars ongoing, Ramon truly has a passion for his work. And when he isn't listening to 70's rock bands such as Yes, Kansas, and Jethro Tull you can most assuredly find Mr. Bachs entranced by some aspect of that galaxy, far, far away...
Now for those of you on the right side of the plane we have a special treat! Down there in Italy you can see artist Davidé Fabbri riding his motorcycle through the Italian country -side! And look there's his lovely wife Angela on the back! It looks like Davidé is taking some time out from his work on the "Hunt for Aurra Sing" arc of our Star Wars ongoing title (in stores starting in March!). When he's not touring around the world on his motorcycle, cinema fan Davidé can be found watching Coen brothers films, reading his favorite author James Ellroy, or spending plenty of quality time with his Play Station. In his work, Davidé strives to combine the dynamic energy of Western comics legends such as Jack Kirby with the intense and suggestive work of European comics artist such as Bilal, Moebius and Andre Pazienza. If you haven't seen his work already in the Star Wars: Jedi Council series, you'll want to make sure to do so soon!
And that concludes our journey. I hope you've all had a pleasant flight and I'd like you all to return your seatbacks to their full upright position and make sure your tray tables are locked and secure. Thanks for flying Dark Horse Airlines and have a pleasant day.
...Oh, and if anyone knows how to fly one of these things could you please come up to the cockpit? Thanks!
