Wouldn't it be nice to be able to go back and alter history? I'm not talking about making any major changes -- no preventing World War II or beating Bill Gates to the PC punch -- but rather, wouldn't you love to jump back and tweak one of those little moments in your own life that sent everything spiraling down the drain? Put some money on that other horse. Get out of the house before her husband got home. Stop yourself from taking that job in comics. That's what the world of Star Wars: Infinities is all about: Getting in there and twisting one seemingly minor event which in turn radically recasts the course of all that follows. Most of us are familiar with events of Return of the Jedi, the final film in the original Star Wars trilogy -- the rescue of Han Solo, the destruction of Jabba the Hutt, the fall of the Empire, the redemption of Anakin Skywalker ...
But imagine things playing out differently. What if, say, our favorite protocol droid C-3PO is knocked out of commission during the already tense negotiations between a disguised Leia and the disgusting Jabba? What if, in the ensuing chaos, Boba Fett makes off with Han's frozen slab before Leia can revive him from his carbonite slumber? Would the Princess then return to the Alliance empty handed, or would she throw her political responsibilities aside and search the galaxy for the man she loves?
Well, wonder no more! This fall we're rolling out Star Wars Infinities: Return of the Jedi, the third in our acclaimed re-imagined adaptations of the classic Star Wars trilogy. And, true to the Infinities tradition, it presents a dramatically different version of Return of the Jedi. Written by Adam Gallardo (Star Wars Tales) and beautifully illustrated by Ryan Benjamin (Ghost, Star Wars Empire) and Saleem Crawford (Spider-Man, Gen13) with colors by Joel Benjamin (Stormwatch), this series promises to shake up everything you thought you knew about the Star Wars saga.
It's the exciting conclusion to the original trilogy, just like you don't remember it. So don't pass it up. Otherwise, you might be left with yet another bad decision you'll regret for the rest of your life. Like buying those green corduroy pants. Honestly, what were you thinking?
